
As Caspian Engineering Solutions, we have successfully performed important technical services within the framework of the Modernization and Reconstruction Project (HAOR) of the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery, one of the most strategic initiatives in Azerbaijan’s energy sector. The aim of the project is to modernize the technological capabilities of the refinery, increase productivity, and create an environment that meets international safety and quality standards.
Within this project, we have inspected the quality of pipelines, steel structures, and technological equipment through non-destructive tests (ultrasonic test – UT, radiographic test – RT, magnetic particle test – MT, penetrant test – PT, vacuum box test, hardness test – HT, Positive Material Identification – PMI) and destructive tests (tensile, bending, impact fracture, micro and macro analysis tests). In the welding area, technical control works have been carried out including the preparation and verification of welding procedures (WPS and PQR), qualification assessment of welders, visual inspection of weld joints, as well as pre- and post-weld heat treatment (PWHT).
Additionally, during the construction phase of the project, tests such as compression tests, cement quality tests, strength and moisture resistance tests, as well as soil compaction and density tests, have been conducted to check the physical and mechanical properties of concrete, sand, gravel, and other construction materials. These tests aim to ensure the durability and reliability of construction structures.
Our inspection services also include technical supervision of the installation of technological equipment, metal structures, and piping systems during construction and assembly, evaluation of compliance with project documentation, and preparation of quality control documents. All processes have been carried out in accordance with international standards (ASME, ISO, API, etc.).
